In a nutshell: what is this video course about?

“Combat flexibility: tendons transformation for martial arts” course includes: how to reach the highest levels of martial flexibility and how to start to gradually adapt your structure to the most extreme activity it could face. An explanation of what tendons transformation is and how it works, what makes us weak in the context of a fight, how to reach the right level of elongation, how to respond to attempts to overextend you, the training path / exercises, how to react dynamically, the most common errors and the relative solutions. Our goal is to share (ancient and modern) notions / methods that are functional not only to improve the performance of our limbs but also and especially to address contexts of unnatural stress (eg. joint levers).

Whoever follows these explanations with the right attention to the details, dedication and patience, gains the knowledge to build a resilient body and a muscle memory aimed at instinctive self-preservation.

A note by Master Kongling – The difference between normal flexibility conditioning and what we call “combat flexibility” is that the first is relegated to relaxed and slow voluntary applications while the second one even to tactically face unexpected and dangerous forces.

The goal: who is this course for?

This course is for beginner / intermediate level practitioners: despite its ambitious goals, the theory is simple and the practice very gradual. To obtain good results you just have to follow the step-by-step indications (without hurry) and to perform the exercises with regularity; once you know how to correctly develop effective combat flexibility, you can start your conditioning.

What we explain in this course is divided into 3 consecutive levels:

  • Understand what makes a fighter flexible in a way that is functional for martial arts (and why)
  • Conditioning of the body with the correct exercises (also related to muscle memory)
  • Common problems / errors to avoid (and how)

A note by Master Kongling – Nothing can make you indestructible but this course is designed for high-level results (that can be exploited as in sports competitions, in self-defense and in any kind of martial art). The idea is to improve the capabilities of your body and to reprogram its instinctive reactions to adverse stimuli. With this guide, a practitioner will become able to expand his / her flexibility to the highest level that combat can require but this path, being born from ancient Shaolin methods (even if not only), can also be approached with deeply meditative purposes.

How to get the best results with this course

The practices provided must be:

  • Understood (the theory is “relatively” simple but you need a clear understanding of it)
  • Experimented (you have to implement the theory gradually, being sure each time to do not lose anything from the past steps)
  • Executed periodically (if you really want to reach your maximum performances, at least every 3-4 days)

Everything is explained in detail inside the course.

No pain no gain but slooowly: cool, a lot of good information.

This is an advanced course. Following these indications, I have obtained unexpected results, better than the ones from my Shaolin Shifu, I must admit it. No pain, no damage and better resistance to many joint levers.
