Face multiple opponents: environment and attackers

As well as in the single fight, also in the one with multiple opponents we have to see the environment and the attackers as a single body, as a set of opportunities and risks to manage. Let’s see how with some tips.

How to deal with opponents:

  • Let’s use our adversaries as shields to defend ourselves and as obstacles for the other attackers
  • We have to push / pull / hurl the bodies of our adversaries as weapons to turn against themselves and their partners (eg. launching one against each other)
  • We have to bounce over our aggressors, on the walls, on the ground and on the obstacles without losing our rhythm (we must always be able to move quickly and in any direction)
  • We have to divert the force and weight of our opponents against themselves, against the ground and against all dangerous obstacles of the environment
  • We have to use (as much as we can) our weight and the opponent’s kinetic power instead of our muscle strength (this will decrease the risk to remain with no energy)

How to relate with the environment:

  • We always have to look at the general scenario, new threats could unpredictably arise (the arrival of accomplices of the attackers, the passage of cars, etc.)
  • The whole environment is available to us, let’s use every immovable object (corners, crevices, holes, etc.) and any moveable object (stones, sticks, sand, doors, etc.).
  • Our best allies are the ground and the force of gravity, they strike strong, they are present in every situation and they are tireless, let’s take advantage of them to save energy
  • Land, walls and every inammovibile object represent the point where our attacks start / arrive, we must exploit all that is solid (walls, walls, ceiling, ground, etc.)
  • Found a fixed point, we have try to add our strength, the one of our opponents, the force of gravity and hurl all this against something really solid (eg. a fire hydrant)

In the next article we will see how to attack, how to defend ourselves and what shots best suit for a fight with more than one opponent.
